How to set up an auto response in Hotmail?
This article will help you set up automatic responses whenever you want to let anyone who sent you messages know that you cannot reply their messages immediately or within a few working days. This feature is very useful when you're away or on vacation and not available to instantly reply to emails.

Open your Hotmail (now Outlook) account by entering your phone number/Skype/Gmail username and password.
Click on the Settings gear icon in the top right-hand corner of the page.
Then when the drop-down appears select View full settings at the bottom.
In the Mail folder, click on Automatic replies.
Turn on the mode Automatic replies. Then you can set the time period for automatic replies by checking Send replies only during this time period, automatic replies only work in this time period.
- After setting time, you have 3 options:
- Block your calendar for this period, automatically decline new invitations for events that occur during this period.
- Decline and cancel my meetings during this period.
Check Send replies only to contacts if you don’t want to send the auto response to strangers or only emails from people in your contact list get automatically replied. Otherwise, make sure that you uncheck it.
Create your own automatic response in the box. You can freely change the font size, font name, font color as you want.
Then click on the Save button at the top of the page when you're done to set up an automatic reply feature.
